HALF PLATE TINTYPE - HORSE & BUGGY - Approx. 4 1/4"
x 6 1/4" - no case. Middle-late 1800's, clear tintype of a man with
horse & buggy in front of house. There are a few light bows and
bends.
TINTYPE - YOUNG BOY WITH DRUM - Approx. 1 7/8" x 3 1/8" - no case. Boy
seated with arm on a drum (curled flag painted on drum), he also holds a drum
stick. Mounting paper from original mount on reverse, total obverse has crackled
finish which can be seen on the top area in the photo, it is like this on the entire
front. Looks to be in no danger of flaking.
WILD WEST SHOW / CIRCUS STYLE HORSE RACE - Approx. 5
1/4" x 6 3/8" (mount) - mounted photo c- late 1800's to early 1900's,
Spectators watching a race in which 2 horses pulling a wagon is racing
two horses with the rider standing on each horse. These type of races
were generally seen in Wild West Shows and circuses held during that
period. Two holes in top portion of mount, few light smudges on
image.
AMBROTYPE - YOUNG GIRL DECKED OUT IN HER FINEST- 1/6 plate anbro,
very clear image of a young woman dressed to the nine's. Beautiful black lace
sleeved dress, jewelry, earrings, tinted feathers in her hair, very attractive. Full case
but has a detached cover. Not a perfect image but darn close!!
TINTYPE - MID 1800'S BLACK MAN IN SUIT- 1/9 plate tintype, image of a
black man dressed in vest & suit jacket. He is wearing a large disc on his vest,
not sure what it could be.
CABINET PHOTO - CAPT. JACK BARNETT & SON - Famous dwarf with
Ringling Brothers Circus. He was born in 1890 and started with Ringling Bros.
in about 1906. This image by Wendt of Boonton, NJ and supposedly taken in
the 1920's.
HALF PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE IN HINGED CASE -
Beautiful rarely seen half plate daguerreotype of a middle
aged woman dressed nicely. Image is very clean and clear.
Tape seal is no longer in place but evidence of it's presence
once in place can be seen. Case is beautiful and hinged with
button lock. Some of 'reflections' in views due to the
difficulty in photographing dags due to the silver mirror
finish.
TINTYPE - WHITE & BLACK(?) WOMEN WITH AN INTERESTING
RELATIONSHIP - Crisp tintype of the two women and a strange note in a
somewhat ominous tone, behind the image in the case. The note is dated August,
1861 and it looks like the image was taken in 1859. In the best of my transcribing it
reads: "Louisa, When shall we meet again? Changes must need be in that I fear
changes unlooked for, dark - sorrowful. Whatever, wherever I may be live thou true
to thy womanhood, thy friend and thy God / M Alice G / Aug 1861 / Hyde Park
1859". Could this be in reference to the beginning of War, Friendship between
races / is slavery implied? Interesting to say the least! Unfortunately the case is
damaged and cover detached but the note is fine and image near perfect. More
shown in 'Additional Images' link.

1880's STEREO VIEW - DAREDEVIL CROSSING NIAGARA FALLS
- View of Stephen Peer crossing the rapids of Niagara Falls on a tight
rope. Peer did this several times but his luck ran out. Many different
stories circulate including one where, on June 25, 1887 while drunk he
tried walking the rope with street shoes. Good condition but has
missing paper on front right - does not affect the image..

IDENTIFIED DAGUERREOTYPE - SOUTH DEDHAM,
MASS. - Very nice 1/6 plate dag of a woman, identified as
Lucy (Dean) Everett of South Dedham, Massachusetts. Wife

sealing tape on reverse, leatherette case in very good
condition and original binding still intact.

CDV - ZALUMA AGRA - 'THE STAR OF THE EAST' - P.T. BARNUM - Image of
one of P.T. Barnum's attractions, the 18 year old Circassian Girl of which Barnum

Barnum (according to one source) in 1864 and was a mainstay at his museum in the
1870's. Image is c-1860's and is hand tinted. No photographer's back mark.
